バンクーバーNo１といわれるチーズケーキ屋さんに行ってきました。

I went to the the best cheese cake shop in Vancouver.

Granvilleにあるお店（みせ）が有名（ゆうめい）ですが、私はこの夏にＹａｌｅTownにオープンしたお店（みせ）に行きました。
Granville ni aru omise ga yuumei desuga, watashi wa kono natsu ni Yaletown ni open shita omise ni ikimashita.
The onne on Granville is famous, but I went to the new one which opened this summer in Yaletown.

Granville店とは雰囲気（ふんいき）が全然（ぜんぜん）ちがって、もっとスタイリッシュな感じです。
Granville ten to wa funiki ga zenzen chigatte, moto stylish na kanji desu.
Their atmosphere is totally different from the one on Granville and it's much more stylish.





この日は生ライブがあり、店内（てんない）はお客さんがいっぱい！
Kono hi wa nama live ga ari, ennai wa okyakusan de ippai!!
There was a live show that night,  so the cafe was filled with customers.

色々（いろいろ）な種類（しゅるい）で迷（まよ）いましたが、Cranberry＆Orange cheese cakeを選（えら）びました。
Iroiro na syurui de mayoimashiaga, Cranberry＆Orange cheese cake o erabimashita.
They have many kinds of cheese cake, so it was hard to pick one. I chose the Cranberry＆Orange cheese cake.

Amazing delicious!!


バンクーバーで1番（いちばん）のチーズケーキというのも頷（うなず）けます。
Vancouver de ichi ban no chhese cake to iu no mo unazukemasu.
No wonder that they are called the best cheese cakes in Vancouver.

Banana & White chocolate cheese cakeも食べたかったので、こちらはテイクアウトしました。

I also wanted to eat the banana & white chocolate cheese cake, so I got it for take out.

こちらも最高（さいこう）！！！

I was impressed that both of them were so good.

頷く（うなずく）　unazuku = nod.

頷ける　（うなずけます in his entry ）is the potential form of "頷く unazuku" , it literally means "can nod ( in agreement)".

It can be used when something totally makes sense to you or you have no doubt about something.

パンプキンビールは買（か）えなかったので、変（か）わったビールを代（か）わりに購入（こうにゅう）しました。
Punpkin beer wa kaenakatta node, kawatta beer o kawari ni kounyou shimashita.
I couldn't buy  Pumpkin beer, so I purchased a unique beer.

試（ため）したかったパンプキンビールと同（おな）じSwansのビールです。
Tameshitakatta Punpkin beer to onaji Swans no beer desu.
It's from the same company "Swans" whose pumpkin beer I wanted to try.


ココナッツ味（あじ）って、とっても珍（めずら）しいですよね！

The Coconut flavor is very unique, isn't it?

確（たし）かにココナッツの味がしました！！

It sure tasted like coconut!!



基本的（きほんてき）に私（わたし）はダークビールがすきじゃないので、このビールもあんまりでした。。。
Kihontekini watashi wa dark beer ga suki jya nai node, kono beer mo anmari deshita.
I am actually not a big fan of dark beer, so this beer isn't really for me....

甘（あま）いような苦（にが）いようなダークビールは苦手（にがて）なんです。
Amai youna nigai youna dark beer wa nigate nanndesu..
Its kind of sweet and has a bitter taste, and because of that it was not really to my taste.

ダークビールがすきなにはおススメかもしれません。
Dark beer ga sukina kata ni wa psusume kamo shiremasen.
I could recommend it for people who like dark beer.

苦手な nigatena ( Na-adj) = not good at something / something is not your thing.

学校で一番苦手な科目は何ですか。

What is your least favorite subject in school?

When you expres your preference, "　～は苦手です” sounds softer than saying "　～はすきじゃないです”　which means "I don't like ～"

I'm sorry, but I don't like Japanese food.

前（まえ）のブログで宣言（せんげん）したので、Swans Pumpkin Aleを買いにいきました！
Mae ni sengen shita node Swans Pumpkin Ale o kai ni iki mashita.
I stated in my previous blog that I wanted to try Swans Pumpkin Ale, so I went to buy it.

There are other kinds of Swans beer, but its seems that only the Pumpkin Ale is missing...


店員（てんいん）さんい聞いてみると、ついさっき売リきれになったそうです。
Teiiin san ni kiite miru to tsui sakki urikireni natta soudesu.
I asked a staff member and she said they just ran out of them a couple of minutes ago...


がーん、かなり残念（ざんねん）です。

Steamworks brewery レストランで飲（の）んだことはあったのですが、はじめてリカーストアでみました
Steamsworks brewery restaurant de nonda koto wa atta no desuga, hajimete liquor store de mimashita.
I have had it at the Steamworks brewery restaurant before, but it was the first time to see it at a liquor store.

ＶＩＴＩ　Ｗｉｎｅ＆Ｌａｇｅｒというお店（みせ）で、たくさんの珍（めず）しいビールがありました。
VITI Wine &Lager to iu omise de takusan no mezurashii beer ga arimashita.
The place is ＶＩＴＩ　Ｗｉｎｅ＆Ｌａｇｅｒ, they have many rare kinds of beer.

お店（みせ）の人もとっても親切（しんせつ）で、３種類（さんしゅるい）のパンプキンビールを紹介（しょうかい）してくれました。
Omise no hito mo tottemo shinsetsu de san-syurui no pumpkin beer o syoukai shitekuremashita.
A member of staff at the store is really kind, he introduced me 3 different kinds of pumpkin beer.

スタッフのおすすめはSwansのパンプキンエール。
Staff no osusume wa Swans no Pumpkin Ale.
The staff recommendation was Swans Pumpkin Ale.





私は今日（きょう）に入荷（にゅうか）したばかりという、 Ambroise Pumpkin Aleを買（か）いました。
Watashi wa kyou nyuuka shitabakari to iu Ambroise Pumpkin Ale o kaimashita.
I chose Ambroise Pumpkin Ale which had just arrived on the same day.

まだスタッフも飲（の）んだことがないそう。新（あたら）しいビールです。
Mada staff mo nonda koto ga nai sou.
The staff hadn't tried it yet. it was a new beer!!




シナモンがきいていて、生（なま）クリームなしのパンプキンパイみたいです。
Cinnamon ga kiiteite, nama cream nashi no Pumpkin pie mitai desu.
Its has a nice cinnamon flavor and the taste is kind of like a pumpkin pie without the whipped cream.

Yuuuummmm. Delicious.

メキシコから帰（かえ）ってきて２週間ほどたち休（やす）みボケもとれてきました。
Mexico kara kaette kite NI-syuukan hodo tachi, yasumi boke mo toretekimashita.
Almost 2 weeks have past since I came back from Mexico, and my vacation hang over is coming to an end.

All-inclusive ホテルでいつもお腹（なか）いっぱい食（た）べていたので、帰（かえ）ったらダイエットしようと思（おも）っていました。
All- inclusive Hotel de itsumo onaka ippai tabeteita node kaettara diet shiyou to omotteimashtia.
I thought that I was going on a diet when I got back to Vancouver, because I was always eating until I was really full in the all inclusive hotel.

さて、ある日友達（ともだち）に誘（さそ）われてSophiesへブランチに行（い）きました。
Sate, aruhi tomodachi ni sasowarete Sophies e brunch ni ikimashita.
By the way my friend asked me to go to Sophies for brunch and we went there.

店内（てんない）はおもちゃ箱（ばこ）みたいで、とてもかわいいです。

The inside of the restaurant is like a toy box. So cute.




長い間（ながいあいだ）食べてなかったので、フレンチトーストがどうしても食べたくなり注文（ちゅうもん）しました。

I had a craving forfrench toast which I haven't had for a long time.

I ordered them with a breakfast sausage as well.

She also wanted to have a waffle and order it


もちろん、大きいことは分（わ）かっていたので、持ち帰り（もちかえり）するつもりでした。

We knew how big the dish would be , so it was for take out.


スタッフにオムレツとフレンチトーストで十分（じゅうぶん）だからと止（と）められ、後（あと）で注文（ちゅうもん）することに。
Staff ni Omelet to french toast de jyuubun dakara to tomerare, ato de cyuumon suru koto ni shimashita.
Our plan was stunted by the staff saying that the omelet and french toast should be enough for two people, so we decided to order it later.

食後（しょくご）はとってもおなかいっぱいで、ワッフルなんて考（かんがえ）えたくもなかったです。
Syokugo wa tottemo onakaippaide, waffle nante kangaetakumo nakattadesu.
After our meal, we were so full, we didn't want to even think about the waffle..

ダイエットを忘（わす）れた日（ひ）でした
Diet o wasureta hi deshita!
That was one day I forgot about my diet.
